Wild times in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- When Denton Ryan and Wichita Falls High School scored a combined 109 points in the Raiders' 66-43 win at Memorial Stadium, it apparently set off a chain reaction in the area.
Fifteen Wichita Falls area teams scored 40 points or more Friday night with Paducah, Throckmorton and Northside each ringing up 70 points or more.
In Class 3A, Burkburnett and Decatur came up just one point short of the total at Memorial Stadium as the Bulldogs fought off Decatur, 61-47. Meanwhile, Case McCoy, the brother of University of Texas quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Colt McCoy, passed for 296 yards and two scores in Graham's 59-41 win over Brownwood.
Denton Ryan's Scotty Young had the game of the night with seven touchdowns and 381 yards passing against the Coyotes, but Burkburnett's Jay Gould -- who was also an all-state tournament basketball selection last season -- ran for 195 yards and four touchdowns in the Bulldogs' win.
