Concerns have been raised by WFAA's investigative reporter Brett Shipp about the eligibility of Southlake Carroll quarterback Daxx Garman.
The report by Shipp raises questions the Garman family's ability to satisfy the UIL's residency requirements.
According to a press release by Southlake Carroll, district officials completed all the necessary verification of paperwork, the student's eligibility was reviewed by members of the DEC, comprised of high school principals from Carroll's opponent schools. The District 6-5A Committee Chairman approved the student for eligibility last spring, and the UIL state office reviewed the case and agreed.
