TOP DEFENSIVE BACKS UNIT IN TEXAS

CROWLEY- CB Clayton Smalls, S Jerod Miller, CB Brandon Grandberry

Out in the 4A ranks over in the Fort Worth area is a school that has an impressive trio of defensive backs, that school is Crowley High School. Headlining the group is one of the top 150 players in the state according to Aggie Websider, that player is Brandon Grandberry who also plays quarterback and wide receiver for Crowley. Last year he rushed and passed for over 1400 yards and is expected to be a bigger threat this year. Joining him in the defensive backfield is Cornerback Clayton Smalls who was a first team all-district selection last year. The other returning All-District player in the backfield for Crowley is Safety Jerod Miller who was a second team All-District selection. Brandon and Clayton are both selections to Texas Prep Xtra's top Cornerbacks and Safeties lists.
