The 2014 edition of "Texas vs. The World" will feature a total of 73 contests between UIL teams from the state of Texas and out of state opponents. That number is a significant increase from the 47 games played a year ago.
The teams come from the states of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, California, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina, Alaska along with teams from Mexico and Canada. The most high profile interstate matchup will feature South Carolina 4A Division I State Champion, the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes coming to the DFW area to take on back to back 5A Division champion Allen who currently holds a 27 game winning streak. Anchorage, Alaska South High School will have the longest trip to make is they'll travel over 4,000 miles to Stephenville to take on the Yellow Jackets.
In 2013 Texas posted a 30-17 record against out of state opponents overall. See below for a full schedule of games featuring UIL eleven man football schools taking on out of state opponents.
