Rockwall-Heath: Is RB Lawrence playing

Rockwall-Heath has been been a juggernaut with a district title and three strong playoff wins. But the Hawks' senior running back Kendial Lawrence went out in the first half in last week's win over Ennis.
The Hawks held on for a 17-14 win but obviously missed Lawrence, out with a shoulder injury. Heath coach Mickey Moss said Monday that Lawrence is out this week against Sulphur Springs in the Class 4A Division II Region II final at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.

For the season, Lawrence has 2,679 yards on a whopping 285 carries on the season. He has scored 43 touchdowns.
Senior Everett Gilbert, who will take over Lawrence's running role scored the winning touchdown for Heath on a 5-yard run in the third quarter.
Gilbert ended with 49 yards rushing on 15 carries. He's been featured more as a receiver in the slot.
Heath also will rely on the accuracy of quarterback Drew Hollingshead.
He's completed 113 of 162 passes with 10 touchdowns and only one interception.
