Prime21 Camp: Them Texas Boys

The Prime21 Camp included over 40 of the nation's most talented prospects, mostly underclassmen - 2017 and 2018 prospects, competing in Dallas, Texas over the weekend. Players from Mississippi, Louisiana, California, Georgia and Florida attended, but there were 23 total players from the state of Texas competing at the event.
The camp setup was geared towards quarterbacks, receivers and defensive backs. Here is a position by position breakdown of the Lone Star prospects that participated in the camp on Saturday.

Quarterbacks: The quarterbacks were coached by former NFL quarterback Jeff Blake.
Shawn Robinson, Denton (TX) Guyer - 2017: The Rivals100 dual-threat quarterback recently committed to TCU and had an impressive day at the camp. Robinson wasn't able to show off his dual-threat ability in the camp setting, but at 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, he already has great size for an underclassman and put the ball where it needed to be for the majority of the day.
Kellen Mond, San Antonio (TX) Reagan - 2017: The dual-threat quarterback recently committed to Baylor and was another standout at the quarterback position this weekend. At 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, the dual-threat quarterback already has tremendous size and purposely snuck in some practice throws with fellow Bears commit Hezekiah Jones, plus Baylor 2017 target Jhamon Ausbon during the camp. Mond struggled with accuracy at times and threw a handful of interceptions, but the coaches were throwing some double coverages at him and he quickly adapted to make several plays on the day.
Jaylon Mascorro, Refugio (TX) - 2017: The dual-threat quarterback is built like a tank at 6-foot-2, 212-pounds and showed off a strong arm at the camp this weekend. Mascorro struggled a bit with accuracy, but it also seemed like he was possibly overthinking some of the new technique and coaching from the camp staff. He really turned things up during the one-on-one sessions and made some impressive throws. Mascorro holds offers from Houston, Kansas, Rice and SMU with the Texas coaches started to show interest lately.
Shilo Sanders, Dallas (TX) PrimeU - 2019: Only an incoming freshman, the younger Sanders - son of NFL legend Deion Sanders - held his own against some big time competition at the camp. Making throws against some of the best defensive backs in the nation and against much older prospects will only help the 2019 prospect improve his game moving forward.
Wide Receivers: The receivers were coached by former five-star prospect and current Ole Miss receiver LaQuon Treadwell.
Omar Manning, Lancaster (TX) - 2017: Manning was impressive on the day, using his 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame to create space and catch several highly contested passes. He holds early offers from Houston, Illinois State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Toledo with coaches from Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech all starting to show interest.
Jhamon Ausbon, Houston (TX) St. Thomas - 2017: The Rivals250 receiver came to play on Saturday, making several circus catches and even a few one-handed grabs against some very talented defensive backs. At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds, Ausbon is a big target that can also move very well for his size. Baylor, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Oklahoma were some of the schools the standout prospect mentioned he connects with most often.
Hezekiah Jones, Stafford (TX) - 2017: The Rivals100 receiver is one of the more exciting prospects to watch in the camp setting. His elite speed and skills at the position usually make for at least a handful of 'wow' moments and this weekend was no exception. Jones recently committed to the Baylor Bears over several other offers and has been very vocal in trying to recruit other 2017 prospects, including Ausbon for the majority of the day.
Other receivers from Saturday: Saiid Adebo (2017), Cartrell Thomas (2017) and Tylan Wallace (2017).
Cornerbacks: The corners were coached by NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib.
Kieston Roach, North Shore (TX) - 2017: The three-star defensive back is still looking for his first offer, but showed exactly why he is on the radar for several programs at the moment. Roach showed quick feet and got physical with the receivers during the one-on-ones.
Chevin Calloway, Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne - 2017: The Rivals250 prospect was one of the more impressive defensive backs on the day, showing elite technique at the corner position and never once giving up on a route, often times coming back out of seemingly nowhere to make a play on the ball. Calloway holds several offers from programs across the country, but the four-star prospect mentioned Baylor, TCU and Alabama as a few of the schools standing out to him at the moment. UCLA, Ohio State and Texas are also programs the standout corner is looking into.
Verone McKinley III, Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian Academy - 2018: McKinley just finished his freshman season of high school football, but the standout corner has already received offers from LSU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma this spring. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect showed great footwork on the day, even receiving high praise from Deion Sanders himself for having some of the best footwork or 'sweet feet' in the entire DFW area. There is plenty of time left for McKinley in the recruiting process and other programs like Florida, Alabama, Baylor and Texas - among others - have already started to show interest in the sophomore to-be.
Other corners from Saturday: Markiese King (2017), Lamont Clarkson (2017) and Jordon Austin (2018).
Safeties: The safeties were coached by New Orleans Saints CB Keenan Lewis and Washington Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall.
Jeffrey Okudah, South Grand Prairie (TX) - 2017: The Rivals100 athlete worked at corner on the day and proved that he could easily cover some of the top receivers in attendance, but Okudah's future at the next level could be at safety. At 6-foot-1, 194-pounds, the standout prospect was one of the more technically sound defensive backs at the camp and used his size to get physical with the receivers on the shorter routes. Okudah holds offers from several programs and mentioned upcoming visits to Georgia and Baylor this summer. He has already taken visits to Alabama, UCLA, Ohio State and USC this off season.
Baron Browning, Kennedale (TX) - 2017: The Rivals100 prospect usually plays outside linebacker and played out of position this weekend, but after a few reps at safety, the standout defender made it difficult for the receivers to get off the line during one-on-one drills. At 6-foot-4, 220-pounds, Browning still has a few years to grow and easily has the frame to add extra size before arriving at the college level. He has a few visits setup to UCLA and USC, plus a stop at Baylor this week. Browning has already taken visits to Alabama, Texas A&M and Baylor earlier this off season.
Donovan Stiner, Bellaire (TX) - 2017: The three-star prospect showed up the camp ready to compete and show why a few programs have come through with early offers. Stiner, who usually plays safety, even moved up to play some corner during the one-on-ones and was very physical against some very talented receivers. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect moved very well and seemed to pick up the coaching from the NFL players in attendance as the day went on. Stiner holds offers from Baylor and SMU, and he plans to visit Baylor again this week.
Other safeties from Saturday: Jalen Pitre (2017), Tracin Wallace (2017) and Brian Williams (2019).
