North Mesquite QB Makes The Call

THEOLDCOACH has learned the North Mesquite QB King Davis verbally committed to New Mexico State on Monday. The senior to be QB threw for 1182 yards and 12 touchdowns against just five interceptions as a junior in 2010.
Per North Mesquite HC Mike Robinson, Davis got the offer ten days ago and decided to pull the trigger. "King had gotten interest from Rice, UTEP, Tulsa and Louisiana Tech as a QB and Texas Tech was showing interest as a receiver. However, King really wanted to play QB," according to Coach Robinson.
Davis and his North Mesquite teammates will be in action Saturday at the Rockwall SQT.
