Cedar Hill (Texas) four-star receiver Camron Buckley is starting to make a few decisions. He has figured out his top five and he is making plans for his commitment announcement.

His top five is a mixture of in-state and out-of-state program, but all of them offer similar opportunities.

“It would be Texas, Miami, UofH, Arizona State, and Ole Miss,” Buckley said. “I just like the environments. I just want to get to them and get more used to them. They’re the schools that best fit me in their offense and I feel I can get in and grow. They’re great coaching staffs and great schools to attend.”

He did not declare any of the five as a clear cut leader, but he does have an idea about when he would like to make a decision.

“May 2nd or sooner,” Buckley said. “I feel like I need to at least have a good idea about where I’m going, going into spring, because I don’t want to be stressing and pondering that throughout the season and spring. I want to be committed and get back working with my team, and make sure that I’m fully into them and make sure we do what we need to do to win another state championship.”

After making his commitment, Buckley does plan to continue to take unofficial and official visits. Before he makes a decision though, he will be planning a visit Miami.

“It’s a great program,” Buckley said. “It’s up and coming from their downfall a couple of years ago, but I want to get out there and see what they’re trying to do with their offense. I know they’re slinging the ball because I’ve seen videos of their spring practices that coach has sent me. I just want to get out there and see it in person, and see the spring game with Rambo and just have a fun time up there and see how I like it.”

Buckley has been offered by schools across the country, and it is easy to see the ability and athleticism. It is also easy to see he brings a high level of confidence and a special swagger to the field.

“My dad, my uncle J (Jesse Armstead), who went to Miami, and coach Deion (Sanders), I’ve been around them since I was little, so I grew up with it,” Buckley said. “I’ve been doing this my whole life, so you’re not going to tell me I can’t do something that I know I can do because I’ve been doing it my whole life.”

Buckley is currently ranked as the No. 223 overall prospect on the Rivals 250 national rankings and No. 29 overall prospect on the Rivals.com Texas Postseason Top 100 for the 2017 class. As a junior, he earned first-team all-district honors after recording 31 receptions for 432 yards and 7 touchdowns.
