EVERMAN, Texas - Homecoming night is when you break out your best for the fans, returning alums and anyone else who might be on-hand.
And when homecoming happens to intersect with a big rivalry game, all bets are off.

None of this was lost on Bulldogs' senior Chris Franklin, who put on a show in Everman's 42-14 win over Fort Worth Crowley (1-4, 0-2).
Franklin started with a 72-yard kickoff return on the Bulldogs' first possession of the game and followed that with a 74-yarder to open the third quarter.
But, he wasn't done.
Franklin broke free for a 51-yard punt return for a touchdown and, in the midst of all the return yardage, caught three passes for 107 yards.
Everman running backs Ryan Smith (137 yards) and Ruben Fletcher were no slouches either as the pair combined for four rushing touchdowns
Despite, Franklin's big day and the final score, Crowley actually held an early lead.
Eagles quarterback Andre Allen (100 yards rushing) ran for a 12-yard score on the opening possession of the game to give Crowley a 7-0 lead in front of the packed home side of Marr Stadium.
Trailing just 16-14 at halftime, the Eagles managed 172 yards rushing in the first half -- but only 29 more for the rest of the game.
While the Bulldogs' defense buckled down, its offensive line began to rev things up.
Just as it has thus far this season, the Bulldogs' running game got stronger as the game wore on and the runs it produced got longer and longer. After 282 yards last week versus Arlington Seguin, Everman (5-0, 2-0) ran for 318 against Crowley.
Fletcher (67 yards rushing) had a 3-yard scoring run in the first quarter to get Everman on the board at 7-6 and also delivered the coup de grace in the fourth with a 25-yard scamper.
Smith, who went over 100 yards for the second consecutive district game, scored from 25 yards out in the second quarter and then exploded for a 60-yard tally in the fourth.
Bulldogs quarterback Marcus McAdoo (4-for-8, 112 yards) also added 52 yards on the ground to round out an efficient night running the Everman offense.
Everman's Andrew Camacho was perfect on the night with field goals of 24 and 33 yards while Crowley's Chris Allen (52 yards rushing) added a 1-yard touchdown run.
The Bulldogs travel to Mansfield Legacy this Friday before returning to Marr Field to host Stephenville (3-2, 2-0).
