Wichita Falls Rider will be taking its four-hour bus ride this afternoon and Texas high school football will be the focal point of the ESPN2 national broadcast Rider and Sulphur Springs at Gerald Prim Stadium.
The drawing cards are Sulphur Springs quarterback Tyrick Rollison and Rider quarterback and Michigan commit Shavodrick Beaver, but the pagentry and community involvement is another ESPN draw.
It's just a non-district game, but at 8 p.m. Thursday, it'll be showtime in Sulphur Springs.
Weather conditions are expected to be good tonight, a couple days before any fallout from Hurricane Ike would arrive. All hotels in and around Sulphur Springs are sold out for Rider fans not wanting to drive back to Wichita Falls after the game ends around 10 p.m.
