Arlington Bowie Rolls Past El Paso Montwood

ODESSA- The Arlington Bowie Volunteers (9-2) went out on the road and took care of business in a big way Saturday rolling past the El Paso Montwood Rams (8-4) 49-7 at Ratliff Stadium. The Volunteers advance to the Class 5A Region I Division II Semi-Finals next Friday at SMU.
Deric Davis had a huge first half throwing four first half touchdown passes to four different receivers as the Vols jumped out to a 42-0 lead at halftime and cruised in the second half.

It appeared Montwood might be able to stay in the game as DB Joshua Coward picked off a Davis pass and ran it deep into Bowie territory. The Vols defense stepped up and forced a Montwood fumble and the rout was on.
Short yardage back Lawrence Hooks scored the first of what would be three touchdowns to put the Vols up 7-0. Davis then went wild throwing touchdown passes to Langston Williams, Emmanuel Davis, Montra Nelson and Cameron White. After a second Hooks touchdown run right before the half the damage was more than done with a 42-0 lead.
El Paso Montwood was held to just 117 total yards with junior RB Tim Rocha leading the way with 123 yards from scrimmage and the Rams only touchdown late on a one yard run.
Arlington Bowie will meet Southlake Carroll who defeated Allen late Saturday night in the Regional Semi-Finals.
